Sara Jacobi has served as a trusted advisor to clients for more than 25 years. She is a director (owner) at Blue & Co., LLC, and was elected to serve as chair of the executive committee. In that role, Sara provided oversight and guidance for Blue’s managing partner and was responsible for Blue’s strategic vision.

Sara found her niche in exit planning when she first fell in love with business growing up on her family’s farm. That love led her to choose accounting as her college major and a path to a career at Blue, where she has become an essential part of her client’s success.

Since she deeply understands business ownership, she takes great satisfaction in helping clients maximize their business's value and transitioning the business to the next owner on the client’s terms. 

Helping clients plan for both the transition of their business to new ownership and life after their business is where her passion lies. Business owners put in the hard work for many years and Sara believes that success is when that owner can exit their business with no regrets.

Being a problem solver and connector is in Sara’s nature. If she can’t personally solve a problem, she loves the challenge of finding the right person to do so. Sara has spent her entire career advising clients on tax, operational and other matters, becoming a trusted advisor to many. Business ownership is so personal to each owner that Sara feels it is truly a sacred space. She never takes for granted the invitation from a client to enter that sacred space. 

When Sara is not busy ensuring the success of her clients, she can be found spending time with her husband, Chris, and their kids. She has a daughter attending Purdue University and a son in high school. Most importantly, she has two spoiled and ridiculously aloof cats who call the shots in their house.

Each fall, Sara uses her organizational skills to be a fabulous team mom to her kids that run cross country, and her husband who coaches. In the spring, she loves watching the kids run in circles on a track. 

Both Sara and her husband are Purdue alumni, and they’ve raised their kids to be die-hard Boilermaker fans. Their favorite family activity is attending Purdue sporting events or watching them at home, all of which involve the four of them cheering loudly for their beloved Boilers.
